About this model

Just add your livery and render, it’s that easy.

The VP Commodore V8 Supercar was a race car built by Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) for the Australian Touring Car Championship (ATCC) in 1994. It was based on the Holden VP Commodore road car, but was extensively modified for racing purposes.

Under the hood, the VP Commodore V8 Supercar was powered by a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter Holden V8 engine, which was capable of producing around 630 horsepower. The engine was mated to a six-speed manual transmission, and the car featured a spool differential to improve traction.

The body of the car was extensively modified for racing purposes, with a more aerodynamic design that included a large rear wing and a front splitter. The suspension was also upgraded, with adjustable dampers and stiffer springs to improve handling.

The VP Commodore V8 Supercar was driven by some of the best drivers in Australia at the time, including Peter Brock, Craig Lowndes, and Mark Skaife. It proved to be a highly successful car, winning multiple races and helping Holden to win the manufacturers’ championship in the 1994 ATCC.

Overall, the VP Commodore V8 Supercar was a highly competitive race car that was well-suited to the demands of the Australian Touring Car Championship. It remains a popular car among fans of Australian motorsport, and is often remembered as one of the most successful cars of its era.
