The current Dallara Formula 2 racing car, also known as the Dallara F2 2018, is a single-seat open-wheel race car used in the FIA Formula 2 Championship, which is the second tier of single-seater motorsport in the FIA Global Pathway. The car was first introduced in 2018 and has been used in the championship ever since. It is powered by a 3.4-liter V6 engine, which is developed and supplied by Mecachrome. The engine produces over 600 horsepower and is paired with a six-speed sequential gearbox. The car also features a number of aerodynamic elements, including a front wing, rear wing, and diffuser, which are designed to provide downforce and increase grip. The Dallara F2 2018 is also equipped with a Halo safety device, which is mandatory in all FIA-sanctioned open-wheel racing series.
