Have been trying to print this model in my 3D printer and keeps getting an error message that it needs to be fixed when it fixes the error it then has lots of voids in the print. So far I have not been able to print a full model of the bandolero

Thanks for reaching out to us. As I mentioned in the email these weren’t designed for 3D printing but hopefully we’ve been able to rectify the issue. Cheers

About this model

The Bandolero race car is a specialized, entry-level race car designed to serve as a stepping stone for young drivers aspiring to move into higher levels of motorsport. First introduced in 1997 by U.S. Legend Cars International (formerly 600 Racing, Inc.), the Bandolero, whose name is Spanish for “bandit,” offers a safe and affordable platform for racers as young as seven years old.

These diminutive racers are built with a full tube frame and a roll cage, resembling miniature stock cars. Drivers enter through the roof, and the cars are designed for simplicity and ease of maintenance. They are raced on various oval tracks, road courses, and dirt tracks, providing a versatile learning environment for up-and-coming drivers.

Propelling the Bandolero is a sealed Briggs & Stratton 570cc Vanguard V-twin engine, which is mounted behind the driver. While the stock engine produces around 20 horsepower, modifications by U.S. Legend Cars boost this to nearly 30 horsepower. This allows the cars to reach speeds of up to 70 miles per hour, though they are noted for not having rapid acceleration. The powertrain is mated to a centrifugal clutch, meaning there is no need for the driver to shift gears, and they utilize left-foot braking, similar to a go-kart.

The Bandolero racing series is structured into different divisions based on age and experience. The “Bandits” division is for drivers aged 7 to 11, while the “Outlaws” division is for drivers aged 12 and up. This structure allows for a progressive development of skills in a competitive yet controlled environment.

Over the years, the Bandolero series has served as a crucial training ground for many drivers who have gone on to have successful careers in professional racing, including several who have reached the NASCAR ranks. The affordability and simplicity of the Bandolero car have made it a popular and enduring choice for families and young racers looking to get their start in the world of motorsports.
